" State Level Eleventh Convention on Quality Circle in Education (CCQCE 2010) "

 

    

 
The Eleventh Convention on Quality Circle in Education – CCQCE 2010 was conducted on 30 th January, 2010 , at Sakthi Engineering College , Thiruninravur, Chennai - 602024.
 

 
The inaugural function was started with invocation. Ms. K. S. Babai, Chairman QCFI Chennai Chapter welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Dr. P.R. Nakkeeran, past Chairman QCFI Chennai chapter has delivered the presidential address. The organizing Secretary CCQCE 2009 Prof. C. Uthaya Kumar gave an overview of CCQCE 2010. Dr. A. Sanjeeva Rao Director QCFI & Past Chairman, QCFI Chennai Chapter has inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional Kuthuvilakku. In his inaugural address, the chief Guest has narrated the various aspects of Quality Circles and their roles in the educational institutions.
 

 

The inaugural function came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mr. A. Myuranathan, Treasurer, QCFI Chennai Chapter. In his address of vote of thanks the Treasurer has mentioned about the different kinds of training and awareness programmes conducted by the QCFI Chennai Chapter and extended the invitation to the participating institutions and delegates to make use of the opportunities. He also thanked the Chairman of Sakthi Engineering College Prof. A. Kanagaraj for provding all facilities and hosting the convention in a grand manner.

Immediately after the inaugural function, the case study presentation took place. 41 teams have presented their cases with thought provoking ideas and projects. Totally 286 delegates have also participated in the convention from renowned educational institutions such as Thiru Seven Hills Polytechnic College, Murugappa Polytechnic college, Atomic Energy Central School - Kalpakkam, Kendra Vidhyalaya - Kalpakkam, TVS Mat. Hr. Sec. School,
Y T V S Primary School, T V S Nursary and Primari, TVS Hr. Sec .School, Sishua School - Hosur, NTTF inf. Tec. Center - Sholinganallur L.C.R. Engineering College - Thiruvellore, Jaya Engineering College and Sakthi Engineering College - Thiruninravur.

Besides case studies, Students have also participated in competitions such as Essay writing, Slogan writing, Debate and posters with full sprit and enthusiasm.

 

 

The dedicated and committed Executive Committee Members of QCFI Chennai Chapter, Mr. L.Gopal ,
Dr. G.Nagarajan . Dr. N. Rangaswamy N. jaganada Rao Mr. K.C. Raghavan Mr. C.V.Gowri Sankar,
Mr. P.R. Pdmanaphan Dr. Sanjeeva Rao  Mr. R.M.Krishnan Major V.V.Chandrasekaran (Retd) ,
Mr.T.Lawrence, Mr .K.Umasankar and Mr. D. Balachandran have contributed their effective coordinator ship and impartial judgmental services justifiably and skillfully for the above cases studies and events. From the observation and feedback given by the judges and coordinators, it is very clear to understand that the level of participation of the institutions in CCQCE is more encouraging year after year both quantitatively and qualitatively.

The valedictory function, which took place in the evening, was presided over by Prof. A. Kanagaraj Chairman, Sakthi Engineering College . Ms. K. S. Babai Chairman QCFI Chennai Chapter welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering. Prof. C. Uthaya Kumar organizing secretary CCQCE.2010 presented a detailed report on the events both statistically and interest carousingly. Dr. T. Jagadesan founder Chairman QCFI, Chennai delivered an interesting felicitation speech.

Participants from all institutions volunteered themselves to give feedback about the events. Their positive feed back was more encouraging and motivating to the QCFI Chennai Chapter.

The Chief Guest Prof. Dr. R. T. Sabapathy Mohan Vice chancellor Manonmaniyam Sundaranar University, Thirunelveli, delivered an educative, informative, thought proving and quality conscious Valedictory address effectively and his words of Wisdom are very useful to those who are practising Q. C. Concepts, particularly to the students' community.

Mr. R. Chezhian, Coordinator, QCFI students Chapter , Sakthi Engineering College proposed vote of thanks sentimentally and suitably. As a joyful occasion of the Convention, the result of the events were announced by Members of QCFI, Chennai Chapter. Prizes and certificates were distributed by the Chief Guest to the entire winning Teams with Outstanding Award. Teams with Distinguished Award, 4 Q. C. Teams with meritorious Award and 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd prizes to the respective winners in the Essay, Slogan and Poster and Debate Competitions.

The Convention came to an end with National Anthem.
